MMA can be a real heartbreaker sometimes. Last-minute injury withdrawals, shocking defeats, early retirements, business complications or even just a flat refusal to compete have all at some point conspired to rob us of some of the greatest matches of all time. The collapse of Werdum and Velasquez’s Super Bowl weekend rematch was both disappointing and unfortunate, but at least we still have a chance to see them throw down again in the future.
